Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Bankim Chandra Chatterjee wrote the famous book Anandamath. He was an Indian author who helped to establish a school. His novels firmly established prose as a literary vehicle for the Bengali language. Between 1858 to 1891, when he retired, he worked as a deputy magistrate for the Indian civil service. His concept was demonstrated in the song "Vande Mataram" ("Hail to thee, Mother") from his book Anandamath, which eventually served as the mantra (or "hymn") and anthem of Hindu India in its struggle for independence. Nationalism and Hinduism were intertwined in his thinking.
