Lenin feared the Provisional Government would set up a dictatorship during the October Revolution when the conflicts and misunderstandings grew between the Provisional Government and the Bolsheviks Party. Lenin felt that if the situation remained, then Provisional Government would take over and set up a dictatorship in the country. Having that fear, he then called for an uprising against the provisional government and gathered support from the supporters of the Bolsheviks Party in the army, Soviets and factory workers. On 16 October 1917, the October revolution was started by Lenin with the Bolsheviks.
