James Rennell made an accurate map of India. James Rennell was a British geographer. It is said that he made the most accurate map of India at that time. James Rennell, now known as the founder of Indian Geography, worked for 13 years in Bengal and everywhere else, surveying an area of approximately 300,000 square miles (780,000 km2) that was going to stretch from the eastern limits of Lower Bengal to Agra, and from the Himalayas to the borders of Bundelkhand and Chota Nagpur. Rennell was initially just one surveyor who demonstrated Bengal and Bihar.
