The above statement is true. Purna swaraj's demand was formalised in the Lahore session. The 1929 Congress meeting was held in Lahore. The influential party, the Indian National Congress, adopted the resolution of Poorna Swaraj. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru raised the Indian tricolour flag during this meeting at midnight on December 31, 1929, in front of a sizable crowd. Congress adopted a resolution for complete independence and raised the flag of complete freedom on the bank of the Ravi. To fly the tricolour for the first time on this day led Congress to proclaim January 26, 1930, as Purna Swaraj.
