Detailed Solution

The above statement is True.
The Treaty of Poona is an agreement signed on  September 24, 1932, between Gandhiji and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on behalf of the depressive classes and the Upper Hindu rulers on the reservation of electoral seats for the depressive classes in the Legislature of the British Government in India. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who organised the Dalits into the Depression Class Association in 1930, clashed with Mahatma Gandhi at the second round table by demanding separate elections for the Dalits. Gandhi began to fast to death when the British government accepted Ambedkar's request. Ambedkar eventually accepted Gandhi's position, resulting in the Treaty of Poona in September 1932. The main features of the Treaty of Poona are that it gave the depressed classes (later called the schedule) seats in the central and provincial legislative assemblies. The general electorate will vote on them. The Act was passed due to fasting until Gandhi's death, and Ambedkar finally accepted Gandhi's position.
