Detailed Solution

1)      Frédéric Sorrieu, a French artist, created a painting with four visuals that depict the democratic and social republic in 1848. This painting visualises his dream of a world with a democratic society. The print shows the freedom and democracy of the people of Europe and America; men and women without any gender discrimination; people of all ages; and no social barriers.
2)      Economic hardship in Europe:- The 1830s were recognised as the years of great economic hardship in Europe. Some of the essential points were the rise in food prices, the increase in population, the migration of people from rural areas to the crowded cities to live in them, and the fact that the aristocracy was still in power. On the other hand, peasants faced trouble from the burden of feudal dues and obligations.
3)      He was the chief minister of Prussia and played a leading role in the unification of Germany. Otto von Bismarck was the architect of German unification and the first vice-chancellor of Prussia. With the help of the Prussian army, he carried out the unification.
4)      The olive branch around the sword: The painting Germania by Philip Veit in 1848 became the German nation's allegory. In this painting, the crown of oak leaves was shown as the German oak stands for heroism. The symbols shown in the painting describe the symbolic meaning. The sword stands for readiness to fight, and the olive branch around the sword stands for willingness to make peace. The black, red, and gold tricolour flag symbolised the liberal nationalists in 1848.
