Detailed Solution

“ Boycott” means the refusal to deal and associate with people, participate in activities, or buy and use things; a form of protest. The boycott movement affected social, financial, and political sections of society. They decided to boycott foreign goods. Foreign liquor shops were picketed. Foreign cloth and goods were burned and destroyed. Because of this, imports of foreign cloth dropped rapidly. Indian Merchants and traders refused the trade of foreign goods. Many started wearing only Indian clothes. The production of Indian handloom and textiles went up.
