Detailed Solution

The above statement is true .
Citadel refers to the western section of Harappan cities, which was often smaller but higher. The citadel has high brick walls and was constructed on a higher area of land. These barriers offered flood protection. The citadel included places of worship in addition to public constructions like Mohenjo-Great Daro's Bath and Granary. A citadel is typically a sizable fortress or a sizable structure built around a castle to provide defence against assaults, catastrophes, or tragedies. In Mohenjodaro, there are numerous building ruins on the citadel mound. The lower town and the fortress were combined at Surkotada. Both the citadel and the town were defended, similar to Kalibangan, with separate gates in the south as well as a gate that connected the two.
