Detailed Solution

The given statement is false.
The innovation took place in Strasbourg, Germany, where Johann Gutenberg created the first printing press known to exist in the 1430s. The son of a businessman, Gutenberg was raised on a sizable rural estate. He had grown up around wine and olive presses. Later, he mastered the craft of goldsmithing, learned how to polish stones, and also developed the skills necessary to make lead moulds for producing trinkets. Using this understanding as a foundation, Gutenberg modified current technologies to create his invention. The printing press was modelled after the olive press, and metal types for the alphabet's letters were created using moulds. Gutenberg developed the method in 1448. The Bible was the first publication he made.
