Near Delhi are the numerous cities established by Feroz Tughlaq, including Fatehabad, Jaunpur, Hissar, Firozpur, and Firozabad. To partially address the issue of water scarcity experienced in Tughlakabad, the first city to be built on the banks of the Yamuna was Firozabad, which stretched from Hauz Khas to Pir Ghaib in the north ridge area. It was unfortunate for Mohammad-bin-Tughlaq that both of his capital cities, Tughlaqabad in Delhi and Daulatabad in Aurangabad, experienced water shortage issues.
