The Moderate leaders showed people the unjust nature of British rule. They published newspapers and wrote articles to make the people aware of it and they showed how British rule led to the economic crisis in the country. They criticised British rule in their speeches. But they believed in liberalism and moderate politics. They thought that when British rulers were made aware of the plight of Indian citizens, then they would improve the lives of people.
