Detailed Solution

The above statement is True.
The definition of "Hindustan" has changed over time. The term "Hindustan" was first used to describe the areas under the Delhi Sultan's rule in the 13th century by a Persian-speaking writer named Minhaj-i-Siraj. In the thirteenth century, South India was not a part of Hindustan. Along with the regions of Punjab and Haryana, the territories between the Ganges and the Yamuna were included. Amir Khusrau, a poet, used the term "Hind" for the first time to describe the people who lived along the Indus River in the 14th century. On the other hand, Babur used Hindustan to describe the terrain, vegetation, and culture of the inhabitants of the subcontinent at the start of the 16th century. The name "Hindustan" did not previously have the political and ethnic implications that we now identify with.
