The given statement is true.
When the pastoralists adopted new ways to cope, new changes were seen in India. Because there were not enough pastures to feed a large number of cattle, hence the pastoralists reduced their number of cattle. It was not easy to let their cattle move to another place for grazing every time because it became difficult to graze old grounds. Those pastorals who became wealthy bought their lands, settled down at a particular place with their cattle, left their nomadic life, and some started cultivation on land.
