Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The Reform movement led to the development of women rights and awakening. Girls were sent to schools and were allowed to study along with the boys. By the 1880s they were allowed to enter universities. They also started taking up jobs. Some of them became doctors, some became teachers, and many women started to write criticisms about the position of women in society.  Many published their critical views. Tarabai Shinde published a book named ‘Stripurushtulna’ which was a Comparison between Women and Men. By the end of the nineteenth century, women started actively working in the reform movements. Many wrote books, edited magazines, and founded schools and training centres. From the 1920s some joined various nationalist and socialist movements.
