Detailed Solution

Concept:
The given statement is True.
Mughal architecture technically began with Akbar, who was passionate about buildings. He was greatly influenced by the Hindu and Persian styles of architecture. Some of his buildings' features include red sandstone embedded with white marble and paintings or designs on the ceiling and walls. The Mughal architecture combined Turkish, Persian, Central Asian, Timurid Iranian, and Indian Hindu architectural styles. While Mughal architecture was first developed and flourished during Akbar's reign, it reached the zenith of glory during Shah Jahan's reign. Quadrilateral gardens were an important component of Mughal design, with bulbous domes, thin minarets, massive vaulted entrances and halls, and exquisite decoration. Some famous buildings built during their time are the Taj Mahal, Shalimar Gardens, Red Fort, Badshahi Mosque, and Humayun's Tomb.
