Himachal Pradesh's Gaddi shepherds are descended from the alpine meadows. These shepherds are part of Himachal Pradesh's tranquil network. They are always searching for pastures for their groups, just like a typical calm neighbourhood. In the winter, they retreated to the low slopes of the Siwalik range, brushing their numbers in the pristine forests. They start travelling north in April, stopping in Lahaul and Spiti for the snow to soften before continuing to the fertile meadows of the more prominent mountains known as Dhars. As the colder weather would once again brush the Siwalik hills, construction would begin in September.
