Detailed Solution

The above statement is true. Rowlatt Acts (February 1919), a law passed by the Imperial Legislative Council, the legislature of British India. These actions allowed certain political cases to be heard without judges and for the detention of suspects without trial. They aimed to replace the oppressive provisions of the Indian Defence Act (1915) during the war with eternal law. They were based on a report by Justice S.A.T. Rowlatt Committee of 1918. The Rowlatt Acts were deeply offended by the rebellious Indian community. All illegal Indian council members (i.e., those who were not officials in the colonial government) voted against the actions.
