The revolutionary activities of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Army or commonly known as the HSRA included, first, the Central Assembly Bombing case, and second, the attempt to blow up the train that Lord Irwin was travelling in. In both these revolutionary activities, the HSRA leader Bhagat Singh was in the front and is regarded as the prime actor. The Hindustan Socialist Republican Army was formed in the year 1928 by the Indian nationalist who believed that non violence was not the answer the Indian struggle needed, rather, it was the revolution which held the potential of freeing the Indian subjects and enabling them to win in the struggle against British rule.
