They were considered wild that had to be brought under cultivation so that the land might yield agricultural product and revenue and enhance the financial gain of the state. Thus between 1880 and 1920, cultivated space rose by a half-dozen. By the first nineteenth century, oak forests in England were disappearing. This created a tangle of timber provided for the Royal Navy. By the decennium, search parties were sent to explore the forest resources of India. The unfolding of railways from the decennium created a replacement demand. Because the railway tracks run through India, a wider variety of trees were cut down.
