Detailed Solution

The given statement is false.
Mahatma Gandhi believed that the Dharma of non-violence could unite Indians.  So he successfully organised the Satyagraha Movement in different places in India.  In 1918, Mahatma Gandhi went to Ahmedabad to organise a Satyagraha movement among cotton mill workers.  In 1917 he also organised Satyagraha to support the peasants of the Kheda district of Gujarat.  The peasants of the Kheda district were severely affected by crop failure and the plague epidemic.  Therefore, they could not pay the revenue to the Britishers and demanded that revenue collection should be relaxed.  Mahatma Gandhi also travelled to Champaran in Bihar to inspire the peasants to struggle against the oppressive policies of the Britishers.
The correct statement is that in 1918, Mahatma Gandhi started the Satyagraha movement among cotton mill employees in Ahmedabad.
