The Bolshevik party of Russia, led by Vladimir Lenin, is known as the October revolution. In July 1917, the Bolsheviks started demonstrations against the provincial government. Lenin urged the peasantry to accumulate against the government of the Bolsheviks. Peasants started seizing the land of their landlords by the end of July. The revolution got momentum. The government soon responded with repressive measures and arrested the Bolshevik revolutionaries and leaders.
