Detailed Solution

The given statement is True.
A collection of Vedic Sanskrit hymns from ancient India is known as the Rig Veda. It is one of the four revered Vedic scriptures that Hindus consider sacred. Rigveda is the earliest known Vedic Sanskrit text. Since the second millennium BCE, Rigveda's sounds and texts have been passed orally. According to philological and linguistic evidence, most of the Rigveda Samhita was written in the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent, most likely between c. 1500 and 1000 BCE. They are written on birch bark and paper in the Sharada and Devanagari scripts.
