Detailed Solution

The above statement is true;
Harihar Dutta published the first Urdu-language newspaper, Jam-i-Jahan-Numa, in Kolkata, India, in 1822 (then Calcutta). Sambad Koumudi, an influential Bengali journalist and one of Sambad Koumudi's co-founders, gave birth to Sambad Kaumudi. Sadasukhlal was the editor of the periodical. It was the country's third-language newspaper, after Bengali and English. It was still published on a regular basis until 1888. Munshi Harsukh Rai began publishing the weekly Kohinoor on January 14, 1850, with an exceptionally high circulation of 350 copies. In 1858, he launched the first Urdu daily, the Urdu Guide, from Calcutta. In the same year, Roznamha-e-Punjab, a Lahore-based daily, was established.
