Detailed Solution

The given statement is true.
Both Gujjar Bakarwals and Gaddi shepherds are herders of goats and sheep. Both groups belong to the group of mountain nomads. The Gujjar Bakarwal belong to Jammu and Kashmir while the Gaddi Shepherds belong to Himachal Pradesh. Both of these groups have many similarities between them. Both are herders of sheep and goats. Both follow the same pattern of seasonal movement. In winter, they come down to the low hills of the Shivalik range with their herds to graze their flocks in scrub forests. With the onset of summer in April, they move northwards. The Gaddis spent their summer in Lahaul Spiti while the Gujjar Bakarwals entered the Kashmir valley. And by September, both march towards their winter base.
