Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Mongols persuaded the Delhi Sultans to mobilise a big army.
During the time of Alauddin Khalji and the early years of Muhammad Tughluq, Mongol assaults on the Delhi Sultanate escalated on a vast scale. The increasing assaults resulted in the requirement from the sultans to build up a sizable standing army in Delhi so that they could defend themselves. But this was a significant administrative burden. Then, in 1291, Genghis Khan's Mongols attacked Transoxiana in northeast Iran. Soon after this event, the Delhi Sultan encountered their assault. Due to this, the two kings were forced to call up a sizable standing army in Delhi, which presented a significant administrative issue.
