Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Other language groups pushed for creating their autonomous states once Andhra was established. A States Reorganisation Commission was designed to construct compact provinces of Assamese, Bengali, Oriya, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu speakers. Its 1956 report suggested that new district and province boundaries be established. Additionally, it was intended to develop some states in north India's significant Hindi-speaking region. Bombay, a multilingual state, was split into Gujarati and Marathi-speaking states in 1960. The states of Punjab and Haryana were separated in 1966. After the creation of Andhra, other multilingual states requested their independent states.
