Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
As economic and societal requirements developed, so made the demand for people with new skills. Smaller castes, called jatis, are formed inside the varnas. New castes, for example, were formed among the Brahmanas. On the other hand, many tribes and social groups were absorbed into caste-based society and given the status of jatis. The rise of Rajput clans to the position of kings established a precedent for indigenous people to follow. Many tribes were gradually absorbed into the caste system with the assistance of the Brahmanas. However, only the most potent tribal families were permitted to join the governing class. As a result, most people become members of caste society's lower jatis.
In contrast, many powerful tribes in Punjab, Sind, and the North-West Frontier had long practised Islam. They remained staunchly opposed to the caste system. The uneven social order established by orthodox Hinduism was not widely accepted in these locations. State formation is intrinsically related to social transformation among indigenous peoples.
