These people were the Agarias. When asked where they had found the iron ore, the Agarias pointed to a hill in the distance. Weld and Dorabji made their way up the hill after a strenuous hike through dense forests. After exploring the hill, the geologist declared they had finally found what they were looking for. The Rajhara Hills contain one of the finest ore deposits in the entire world. But there was a problem. Water was unavailable in the area because it was dry, which was necessary for running the factory. So the Tatas had to keep looking for a location for their factory that was more ideal. On the other hand, the Agarias helped identify a source of iron ore that would subsequently supply the Bhilai Steel Plant.
