It is the name of Calicut's cotton fabric, which is already available on the European market. Calico is a thick plain weave made from unbleached cotton and is usually not fully treated. It may also contain sections of the envelope that have not been segregated. The fabric is costlier than chiffon but less costly and thicker than canvas or denim.
