The Poona Pact was an arrangement between M.K. Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar while incarcerated in the Yerwada Central Prison, Poona, on September 24th, 1932. The arrangement was to give reservations to the discouraged classes. Having a place in a distant local area, Dr Ambedkar was supportive of the different electorates for the depressed classes.
