Detailed Solution

Drawing rhombus ABCD:
Question ImageGiven that, ABCD is a rhombus in which DE is a perpendicular bisector of AB. Also Joining BD.
In ΔAED  and ΔBED  ,
AE=EB ED=ED AED=DEB= 90 °   ΔAEDΔBED   by SAS rule.
AD=DB=AB   (By C.P.C.T)
So. ΔADB   is an equilateral triangle with DAB=DBA=ADB= 60 °  .
Since opposite angles is equal in rhombus then,
DAB=DCB= 60 °   Also, in a rhombus adjacent angles of a rhombus are supplementary. DAB+ABC= 180 ° 60 ° +ABD+DBC= 180 ° 60 ° + 60 ° +DBC= 180 ° DBC= 180 ° 120 ° = 60 °
  ABC=ABD+DBC= 60 ° + 60 ° ABC= 120 °   As the opposite angles of rhombus are equal.
ADC= 120 °
Thus, the statement is true.
Hence, option 1 is correct.
