Detailed Solution

The given statement is true.
This was the renowned Battle of Talikota, which took place in a small hamlet in present-day Karnataka and saw the Sultanates beat Vijayanagar and put Aliya Rama Raya to death. Hampi was then pillaged and demolished, leaving it in the wreck it is in today. The Deccan sultans in the area finally toppled the Vijayanagara kingdom in the late 16th century. Widespread looting, vandalism, and ultimately the abandonment of a country in ruins were the results of Islamic control. Multiple Muslim sultanates were in the vicinity of the Hindu Vijyanagara dynasty. Its army was crushed by the combined forces of the Muslim nations of Bijapur, Ahmadnagar, and Golconda in the decisive battle at Talikota, and the capital of Vijayanagar was destroyed. They were Ahmednagar, Bidar, Berar, Bijapur, and Golconda.
