They move from place to place to graze their livestock, selling cattle ploughs and other goods to villagers in exchange for grain and fodder. The Banjara were nomadic traders who bought grain where it was cheap and shipped it where it was more expensive. They move around throughout the country, especially during fairs and festivals.
