The Banjaras were a well-known nomadic group. They mainly live in villages in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. They travel long distances in search of good grazing land for their cattle, trading plough cattle and other goods with villagers for grain and fodder.
