The above statement is true. If social divisions exist in a country, they must not be expressed in politics. But the exact opposite of it happens in reality. Political parties often use the policy of social divisions and put the social differences based on caste, colour, religion, region, etc., into play to acquire vote banks. People also do not understand their vote-achieving policies and get misguided, often leading to discrimination and destructive behaviour. Worse, riots and communal hate grow a lot too. Since politics is a procedure to form a government for the people, it is only reasonable that it should use things that promote the division of those very people.
