Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The women's movement has said that all religions' family laws are unfair to women. So, they have asked the government to make these laws more fair by changing them. For example, the rules of Mitakshara, a school of Hindu law that deals with inheritance, said that Hindu daughters couldn't share in their parents' property. Only after Lata Mittal won a 20-year legal battle in the Supreme Court (her case was filed in 1985) were Hindu daughters given equal rights to their family's property. In the same way, a Christian woman couldn't get a divorce just because her husband was unfaithful; it had to be paired with cruelty, bestiality, or sodomy.
