Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Qutb Minar was built by two rulers, Qutbuddin Aibak and Iltutmish. The building of the Minaret of Jam served as inspiration for the Qutub Minar's design. It was built in the year 1190 and is 62 metres tall. Varahamihira, a native Hindu, is credited as Qutub Minar's architect. Because of this, the architectural features of this minaret combine Afghan and Indo-Islamic elements to create a distinctive appearance. After overthrowing Prithviraj Chauhan, the last Hindu monarch of Delhi, Qutbuddin Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate, began construction on this minaret. Shams-ud-Din Iltutmish, Aibak's successor and his son-in-law, built three additional storeys.
