Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Before and after founding the Khalsa in 1699 C.E., Guru Gobind Singh engaged in numerous conflicts with the Rajput and Mughal emperors. After he died in 1708 C.E., Banda Bahadur led the Khalsa Panth in their resistance to the Mughal Empire. Thus, after Guru Gobind Singh's death, the whole Khalsa Panth stood against the Mughal Empire. They even set up their government between the Sutlej and the Yamuna. But in 1715 CE, Banda Bahadur was taken captive; in 1716 CE, he was killed. Thus, under one capable leader's direction, the Sikhs organised themselves into numerous jathas and misls. Eventually, the Sikhs rose to political prominence in the country.
