Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Murshid Quli Khan began his career in the early eighteenth century as the provincial diwan of Bengal and ended it as the Nazim, or governor, of Bengal and Orissa. He served as faujdar in several districts as well as the Diwan of Bihar at the same time. The development of Bengal's domestic and international trade was substantial during the rule of Murshid Quli Khan. Bengal was a bustling trading centre for Arab, Persian, and Armenian traders. Since the 17th century, European companies have been eager to buy any quantity of products made in Bengal, mainly cotton and silk. As a result, Murshid Quli Khan established the Nawabi regime in Bengal.
