Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
A mansabdar was a person who possessed a rank or position. The status of a mansabdar was based on his zat. A mansabdar's rank and pay were determined by a number called zat. Every mansabdar had military obligations and had to keep a minimum amount of cavalry or sawar. He was required to examine them, keep an eye on their registration, and brand their horses. The money would be given to the mansabdar to pay the sawar's wages. The kind of compensation given to mansabdars for their services was a revenue assignment known as a jagir. They were obligated to collect the jagir's money; they were not compelled to live there. While the mansabdar served or lived in another region of the nation, their servants collected the money.
