Detailed Solution

The above statement is false.
The shikhara is the soaring spire of Hindu temple architecture in northern India. It is also used in Jain temples. Shikhara stands atop the Garbhagriha. Garbhagriha is the innermost temple of a Hindu and Jain temple which holds the main deity of the temple. Shikhara is divided into three primary forms - Latina, Sekhar, and Bhumija.  Latina has four faces that can include projections on each face. In the Sekhari,  Latina has additional coils called Urushringa that echo the main form. In Bhumija, the tower has miniature spires lined up horizontally and vertically to the top. Shikharas form an element in many styles of Hindu temple architecture, the three most common being Nagara, Vesara, and  Dravidian. By at least 600 AD in Odisha, the Latina form of shikhara was established.
The correct statement would be that Shikhara is not a temple's base.
