Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Untouchability obtains from the caste system. The caste structure in India was complicated. The untouchability is the impact of this abusive strict caste system. This approach included embarrassment and prejudice against the Dalit residents. The Dalit people were not allowed to worship in Hindu Temples. They could not reside in the main village and hence, had to live in their tiny houses outside or on the outskirts of the town. Dalit students were not allowed to sit with upper caste students. Dalit women cleaned the dry latrines and carried the litter on their heads in a bucket to the disposable grounds. Dalits were called untouchables.
