Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The people of Bastar were highly concerned when the colonial authorities reserved the forest villages, two-thirds of the forest, in 1905 and halted shifting farming, hunting, and gathering of forest produce villages. People started congregating and talking about topics in their village councils, bazaars, festivals, or communities of headmen and priests from other towns. The Dhurwas of the Kanger forest, where reserving was initially practised, took the initiative. Despite the lack of a single leader, Gunda Dhur from the village of Nethanar is frequently cited as having a vital role in the movement. Mango branches, a lump of soil, peppers, and arrows started travelling between villages in 1910. These were invitations for the peasants to revolt against the British.
