Detailed Solution

Citizens who had the right to vote were called active citizens in the French National Assembly.
The status of active citizens in the French National Assembly included the right to vote and was only granted to men over 25 who paid taxes equivalent to at least three days of a labourer's income. The Assembly was chosen indirectly and was given legislative authority by the Constitution of 1791. The active citizens also had to be well-read, speak French, and have lived there for at least a year. All the remaining men and women were categorised as passive citizens with no property rights.
