Let the wt. of sample = x g
Mass of silica = $x \times \frac{50}{100} = 0.5 x$
Mass of water $= x \times \frac{15}{100} = 0.15 x$
Mass of water left $= (0.15 x - 5) g$
New mass of sample $= (x - 5) g$
% of silica $= \frac{0.5 x}{(x - 5)} \times 100 = 52 x = 130 g$
% of water $= \frac{0.15 \times 130 - 5}{(130 - 5)} \times 100 = 11.6 %$
