Coconut has drupe as its fruit because of stony endocarp. Its epicarp is a leathery rind and its mesocarp is fi brous and spongy. Endosperm is the edible part of the fruit which is in both liquid and solid forms.
(1) Berry is seen in brinjal, tomato and chillies of Solanaceae.
(2) Nut is seen in cashew.
(3) Capsule is seen in some Solanaceae members like Datura and Liliaceae members like Colchicum, Allium etc.
