Detailed Solution

Communalism considers religion the basis of society.
Communalism considers religion as the basis of society. Therefore, it prioritises religion in the community, even if it is not respectable. India is a nonreligious country, which indicates that it does not have an authorised religion but respects all religious communities equally. Communalism, unlike Secularism, does not aim at keeping religion separate from the state and its affairs. On the contrary, it considers religion an integral part of society. In all religious communities, people are free to practise and propagate their religion but to come to communal hate and discrimination based upon religion is not acceptable and non-righteous. However, communal violence and hatred have been observed in politics.
