Congress Sessions of 1927 were held at Madras.
During a separate resolution, the Creed of the Congress has defined: "the goal of the Indian folks is complete National Independence". At its Madras Session in 1927, presided over by Dr Ansari (not by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad), the Indian National Congress determined to boycott the Simon Commission "at each stage and in each form". The Muslim League and Hindu Mahasabha were determined to support the Congress call. The Simon Commission united a minimum of quickly different clusters and parties within the country.
