Detailed Solution

Wards are similar to constituencies that are made for the election of Panchayats and Municipal bodies.
As a state is divided into many constituencies, a village or town is divided into wards for the local elections. In a village, wards, or smaller geographic divisions, are used to divide each local Panchayat. A representative known as the ward member is chosen by each ward (Panch). A Sarpanch, who serves as the Panchayat President, is further chosen by all of the Gram Sabha members. The Gram Panchayat is made up of the Ward Panch and the Sarpanch. A Municipality of a town or city is divided into "wards." Each Municipal ward has a budget that must be used for the benefit of the community by the Municipal Councillor assigned to that ward.
