Copper is extracted from sulphide ore using the method

Copper  is  extracted   from  its sulphide  ore  the  ore is partial  roasting  in  air  to  give  its  oxide

$2C{u}_{2}S+3O_2\to 2C{u}_{2}O+2S{O}_2$

Supply  of  air is stopped   temperature  is  raised   sulphide  reacts  with Oxide  form  Metal and ${\text{SO}}_2$

$2C{u}_{2}O+C{u}_{2}S\to 6Cu+S{O}_2$
